The pavilion at the East Norbeck Local Park in Silver Spring, MD, is an example of the beauty of Douglas Fir in an outdoor setting. The pavilion was constructed of #1 Douglas Fir select structural timber trusses with 3×8 Douglas Fir tongue-and-groove decking. The trusses had prime painted hardware and were treated with .30 Penta.
