Galyon Timber and Glulam formerly known as Galyon Lumber Company has been providing wood products to craftsmen and builders for nearly 140 years.  What began as a mill and lumberyard in Knoxville, Tennessee, supplying wood products locally, has evolved into a wholesale supplier of heavy timber and glulam prefabricated products, selling directly to commercial general contractors and government agencies throughout the continental United States.

The founder of Galyon Lumber Company, L.A. Galyon, recognized a need in the early 1870’s to provide milling services in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Growing to employ about 60 men, the three-acre yard included rail sidings, a dry kiln, and a dry house. Galyon Lumber Company began to ship lumber and heavy timbers throughout East Tennessee.

Over the years, Galyon Lumber Company has grown into a major supplier of prefabricated heavy timber and glulam products as well as non prefabricated wood products. To better serve its customers, Galyon Lumber Company expanded its material market nationwide, placing greater emphasis on prefabricated structural wood products and changing its name to Galyon Timber and Glulam, Inc.

Today Galyon Timber and Glulam works directly with commercial general contractors, architects, and engineers throughout the United States selling heavy timber and glulam products as well as many specialty wood products that are manufactured to specifications. Our customers can upload their plans and specifications to our website for quotations on prefabricated products or they can e-mail or fax their list of wood products for mill direct quotations.

Galyon Timber and Glulam supplies many kinds of wood products, specializing in prefabricated heavy timber, glulams, parallam® PSL, heavy timber and glulam trusses, as well as roof decking, including hardware and shop drawings.  We also supply non prefabricated wood products per our customers lists and specifications delivered mill direct to the jobsite. 

Although our company's emphasis has changed over the years, our core values have not. Our goals are to:

•   Supply glulam and timber products within budget and delivered as specified
